Our Antibody Development Contract Services is a world class provider of key reagents for our clients in drug discovery to advance their drug pipelines. We are currently looking for a Cell Line Development Scientist to join our team based in Belfast.

This position is initially to provide maternity cover (9 months), commencing March 2019, with the opportunity to progress to a permanent role. 

The Role of the Cell Line Development Scientist:

 

  •          Assist the Team Leaders in carrying out Stable Cell Line development
  •          Ensure all duties are performed in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
  •          Involved in the daily running of the laboratory
  •          Attend research and production meetings, and on occasion be asked to present data
  •          Duties will include:

o    Growth and maintenance of cell cultures.

o    Transfection and subsequent selection of cell lines for expansion/ development.

o    Clonal selection of transfected cells.

o    Screening of cell line performance by ELISA assay.

o    Developability assessment.

o    Lab cleaning, and maintenance of clear Lab notebook records.

o    Maintaining SOPs

o    Writing reports, and management of stock reagents

  • The successful candidate will learn the techniques associated with cell line development, and developability.

 The Profile of the Successful Cell Line Development Scientist

 

  •          BSc in a Cell Biology related discipline.
  •          Cell culture experience, good aseptic technique, good organisation etc.
  •          Cell culture lab experience under GMP conditions is preferred
  •          Familiarity with FDA/EMEA regulatory requirements.
  •          The ability to work well in a team.
  •          Experience with MS office applications (especially EXCEL).
  •          Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
